Dr Tim O'Sullivan MBBS JCU FRACP PhD

Tim is an Australian trained gastroenterologist and advanced therapeutic endoscopist who also works at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and the Surgical Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS) hospital.

He completed his medical degree at James Cook University in 2013, receiving commendation for the highest aggregate marks of the cohort.

Tim completed his core gastroenterology training in Queensland across the Mater, Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee and Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospitals. He subsequently completed a two-year fellowship at Westmead Hospital, Sydney. During this time he undertook advanced endoscopy training with a core focus on tissue resection including endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) as well as third space endoscopy (perioral endoscopic myotomy).

Tim is passionate about research and has completed his PhD at the University of Sydney in colorectal endoscopic resection.

He practises general gastroenterology and performs consultative practice, as well as open access procedures. His special interests include colorectal neoplasia, endoscopic resection and endoscopic practice quality.
